Bayer donates 10 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross
Bayer would like to express the deepest sympathy for all those affected by the Earthquake centered in the Kumamoto Region of Kumamoto Prefecture since April 14, 2016.
Following the devastating earthquake in the Kumamoto Region, Bayer Group decided to donate 10 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross. The funds are intended to help assist communities or individuals severely affected by the earthquake.
As there is a pressing issue of the risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE: commonly known as Economy Syndrome) at the affected site, the Pharmaceuticals Division is providing a visual aid and video clip which introduce exercise to prevent the VTE.
“We are pleased that Bayer will be contributing with this donation to the support for the difficult situation in the affected areas in the Kumamoto Prefecture and the surrounding areas, specifically in view of more than 800 aftershocks in 10 days”, says Hans-Dieter Hausner, Senior Bayer Representative in Japan.
